#economiccollapse

Googling around the other day, I ran across a website which listed my HOM story Life in the Jerri Zone under the hashtag #economiccollapse.

This made me smile. It showed that someone out there had read my story, and not only read it but understood it, and not only understood it but thought about it. Granted, it was on one of those odd shifting sites that looks machine generated, but still it made me smile...

I recognize that any short story about a fetish is largely destined to end up as masturbation fodder. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am! But still, I often put a lot of unwritten backstory, a lot of thought and imagination, and a lot of my heart into my stories. It's just gratifying to think that someone, somewhere out there, got more than just the quick surface payoff out of my story.

Yes, Life in the Jerri Zone is about life after an economic collapse. And about the age-old question, "What is the difference between a government and a gang?", in a neighborhood where there is no longer any law and order beyond what can be enforced by one all-girl gang, the Jerri Girls...

It's also a tale of handgagging, handsmothering, and sexy dominant young women in control!

You and I are often more complex as human beings than we outwardly let on. I for one don't intend to deny or ignore that complexity. I'm happy if a reader finds jackoff material in one of my stories. I'm gratified if a reader may also find something more, a memorable character, an entertaining or thought provoking story angle, a flash of recognition at the tangled complexity of our tormented shadowy fetish-ridden shared humanity...

I mean, don't you sometimes wonder, Am I the only person in the world who thinks and feels this way? No, dear reader, you are not alone. As you silently secretly ache to have a woman's soft warm hand clamped firmly over your mouth, you are not alone. We have more in common than perhaps you dared to dream. I hope my stories sometimes succeed in conveying that to you, just as that stray hashtag conveys it to me.
